Our Chickens are our girls and we work to raise them in an environment that they can be free, happy, playful, sheltered and well looked after. It’s factual. Stressed birds don’t happily lay their eggs, affecting their production ability. Like us, stress has negative effects on what we produce, it’s the same for hens. Environment effects temperament and temperament affects our birds happy laying ability!

 

We raise our hens in a free-er than free range environment, providing the ‘extras’ for their pleasure; set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside where they are free to roam, dust bathe, scratch around, explore the woodland, peck and play.
